2. Eligibility

• Membership is strictly for individuals aged 18 years or older.
• Proof of age may be required upon joining or at any time thereafter.

3. Staffed Hours and Access

• The gym is only accessible during designated staffed hours, which will be clearly displayed on our premises and website.
• Entry outside of staffed hours is strictly prohibited and may result in membership suspension or termination.
• Members must check in at reception or via the provided access system upon arrival.

4. Health and Safety

• You confirm that you are in good physical health and know of no reason why you should not participate in physical activity.
• If in doubt, you must consult a medical professional before using our facilities.
• You agree to use equipment properly and follow all safety instructions from staff or signage.

5. Conduct and Behaviour

• Members are expected to treat staff, other members, and the facility with respect.
• Abusive, aggressive, discriminatory, or antisocial behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in immediate termination of membership.
• Proper gym attire and footwear must be worn at all times.

6. 3-Strike Rule for Cleanliness and Etiquette

• Members are expected to return all equipment (e.g., weights, mats) to its proper place and clean up after themselves (e.g., wiping down machines, disposing of rubbish).
• Failure to comply may result in a strike. After 3 strikes, your membership may be suspended or terminated without refund.
• Strikes will be recorded and communicated to the member via email or in writing.

7. Membership and Payments

• Membership options, fees, and payment schedules are available on our website and at reception.
• All fees are non-refundable except as required under consumer law or as otherwise stated in these terms.
• Members must provide valid and current payment details and notify us promptly of any changes.

8. Membership Freezing

• Members may request to freeze their membership at a cost of £15 per month.
• This fee is waived if a medical reason is provided, supported by a doctor’s note.
• Freeze requests must be made in writing or via email in advance and can be applied for up to 3 months at a time.
• During the freeze period, access to the gym is suspended. Monthly payments resume automatically at the end of the freeze unless extended by mutual agreement.

9. Cancellations and Early Termination

• Memberships may be cancelled with one month’s written notice.
• If you are within a 12-month contract, early termination is only permitted under the following circumstances:
• Relocation of more than 10 miles from the gym (proof of new address required).
• Medical grounds (a doctor’s note must be provided).
• Redundancy or loss of income, supported by a letter on official company or organisational letterhead.
• All requests for early cancellation must be submitted in writing with appropriate documentation and are subject to approval.

10. Personal Belongings

• Lockers are provided for day use only and must be emptied after each visit.
• Viewpoint Fitness (AMPD Services LTD) is not liable for loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings on the premises.

11. Data Protection

• We comply with all applicable data protection laws, including the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR).
• Your personal data will only be used for legitimate business purposes and will not be shared with third parties without your consent, except as required by law.

12. Amendments

• We reserve the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be communicated via email or posted within the gym and on our website.
• Continued use of the gym constitutes acceptance of any updated terms.

13. Liability

• Viewpoint Fitness (AMPD Services LTD) accepts no liability for any injury, loss, or damage suffered by a member except where such liability cannot be excluded by law.
• You agree to use the facility and equipment at your own risk.
